spec·tac·u·lar: (adjective) of or like a spectacle; marked by or given to an impressive,large-scale display.
Easter is spectacular. For those who believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we celebrate it as a reminder of the day that God’s only Son conquered death. He died on the cross and then He rose from the dead three days later. Jesus then walked among His people as evidence to the victory (for more on the appearances of the risen Lord, be sure to read 3 Days That Changed the World: Day 3).
The whole day comes alive. Little girls don new dresses in the vibrant colors of Spring, baskets are filled with jelly beans and chocolate bunnies and somehow we take an ordinary Sunday, dip it in Easter Egg dye and make it more, well, more spectacular. Easter Sunday feels like every Sunday should feel.
But, Monday’s alarm sounds and the colors can fade a bit.
Fortunately, it doesn’t have to fade. There is a small thing that you can do to keep the colors bright. And, here is the truth…it doesn’t matter how busy you are–YOU have time for this.
VALLEY WORSHIP.
I found a great worship CD, and I want to recommend it to you. Valley Worship. It’s layers are refreshing and its lyrics are inspiring. The vocals are pure and the relaxing tone sets it apart from other things clamoring for our attention.
If you lived around the corner from me, I’d let you borrow my copy. But, since some of you live in other States or Countries, I thought I would let you know how you can get your hands on your own copy.
