About the Author of these Ordinary Adventures
In the 70′s
Jacquelyn (Jackie) Sill is being raised in sunny California.
She’s a blonde haired, brown-eyed California Girl.
She plays baseball in the boys league with her brothers.
She’s ridiculously SHY
and has an undeniable love for cats.
In the 80′s
Jackie learns to stop being shy when she is befriended
by a Speech & Debate teacher in High School.
She qualifies for the State of California’s Speech and Debate Championships,
where she places 5th in the State of California.
She goes on to be accepted to train at the
American Academy of Dramatic Arts, in Los Angeles
and, after a year, she is invited back for further training.
But, she hears a different call in her life.
As a new Christian, she meets and marries her Husband in “the O.C.”
The Newlyweds begin their new life together working at a church in Danville, Illinois.
In the 90′s
Jackie and her Groom are building a family
and they decide to head back to their homeland — California.
They are busy, as they have 4 children in 5 years.
They love having all these little children,
but it is in this decade that the young parents learn about grief.
They say goodbye to their little girl, Molly,
who goes to be with Jesus, just before her second birthday.
Welcome 2 Y2K
The family faces trials and grow in their faith.
They learn about love, loss and letting go.
Through it all, the Lord is faithful and Jackie discovers that she is
not only gifted in public speaking, but also in the written word.
Jackie and her Husband have two grown children and a teenage son.
They have been serving in Full Time Ministry together for almost 25 years.
The adventures that they have shared are not theirs alone.
